Adult Grief Support Group

New! Virtual Adult Grief Support Groups

Two groups are available to provide support during the coronavirus pandemic. These are open, ongoing groups hosted weekly via Zoom, an online video conferencing platform. New members (ages 18+) are welcome to join at any time, and new dates will continue to be added. Both groups are free to attend, but pre-registration is required in order to receive the invitation link to participate.

Please contact Pam Dinneen, Clinical Operations Director, at or 402.488.8989 with questions about these groups.

  • Adult Grief Support Group
When grieving the death of someone significant, we typically have the support of our community to surround us. At this time of physical distancing, we may be left grieving on our own - which can deepen our pain. Join this group and find a new kind of support with others who understand.
  • Parenting Grieving Kids
The role of parenting is difficult, and the role of parenting grieving kids is even more difficult. Join this group to connect with other caregivers who are parenting children and teens who have also experienced the death of someone significant. Discuss how kids grieve and what we can do to support them during this challenging time.

Adult Grief Support Group

Each person grieves in their own way, and at their own pace. By joining with others who have also experienced the death of someone significant, we can offer support and learn from one another as we move toward healing.

Mourning Hope offers an 8-week support group for bereaved adults (30s and up). This group provides an opportunity to understand your grief, and find hope and healing. You will learn healthy ways to cope, and feel support from others who are having similar experiences on their grief journey. Discussion will be facilitated by grief support professionals, and will be based on the book, "Understanding Your Grief," by Dr. Alan Wolfelt.

This group has been adjusted due to COVID-19. Please stay tuned for dates as soon as it's safe to meet in person. Contact Pam Dinneen, Clinical Operations Director, at or 402.488.8989 with questions.
