Counseling & Consulting
At the Mourning Hope Grief Center, we believe every person's grief journey is unique. To meet those unique needs, Mourning Hope offers a variety of different support options. In addition to peer grief support groups for children, teens, young adults, adults and families, we also provide short-term grief counseling and consultation for individuals and families.
The Mourning Hope counseling program utilizes a teaching model. The Counseling Team consists of a licensed mental health professional (LMHP) and master's level college interns who consult as a team. This format allows us the opportunity to train future counselors in the field of grief, and provide counseling services to our community. The Counseling Team uses communication, creative expression, play and education to help children and families learn healthy coping skills and ways to process their grief.
Grief consultation is also available to help individuals and families find materials, resources and support. Please contact Pam Dinneen, Clinical Operations Director, at firstname.lastname@example.org or 402.488.8989 with counseling and/or consulting inquiries.
Please note, during this time of physical distancing, all counseling and consultation services are offered through Zoom, an online video conferencing platform.
