Communications and Marketing Coordinator
Full-Time Position: Mourning Hope Grief Center, Lincoln, Nebraska
Mourning Hope is seeking a thoughtful and creative Communications and Marketing Coordinator to help tell our story, engage our community, and expand awareness of the support we provide to grieving children, teens, adults, and families. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys crafting clear, compelling messages, and strengthening connections—both within our organization and with the broader community—to advance our mission and outreach.
This position plays a central role in how Mourning Hope communicates—managing social media, newsletters, and other outreach efforts, supporting events and campaigns, and helping ensure our message reaches the right people at the right time. The Communications and Marketing Coordinator will work closely with staff, volunteers, and the community to strengthen relationships and expand our impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead communications initiatives that engage donors, families, volunteers, and the broader community
- Manage social media accounts, newsletters, website content, and other digital and print communications
- Support marketing and promotion for programs, events, and campaigns
- Help tell the stories of Mourning Hope’s programs and the families we serve in ways that resonate
- Coordinate content creation, including graphics, photography, and written pieces
- Track engagement and provide insights to help improve communications strategies
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, public relations, or a related field
- Experience in marketing, communications, or nonprofit outreach
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to connect with diverse audiences
- Comfortable with social media, email marketing platforms, and content management systems
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively
- Passion for the mission of supporting bereaved children, teens, and families
