Support Group Facilitator

Mourning Hope facilitators lead evening support groups for children, teens, young adults and adults. Groups meet primarily in the evenings. Experience is not required. Facilitators must attend one of our training sessions, and are then matched with an experienced group facilitator who serves as a mentor throughout their first series. If both you and Mourning Hope believe facilitating is a good fit for you, you will be asked to commit to facilitating at least one 10-night series (one meeting per week for 10 consecutive weeks) within a year of attending training. A background check is completed on all Mourning Hope facilitators before they begin working with participants.

2024 Facilitator Training

Friday, February 2 | 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. and
Saturday, February 3 | 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

To be eligible to facilitate Mourning Hope grief support programs, participants must attend both training days.

Please fill out the application below if you are interested in training in 2024.

As a non-profit that charges no fees for services or training programs, Mourning Hope relies on financial gifts from individuals, businesses and foundations to pay for operating expenses. You can help cover the costs associated with your facilitator training (like background checks, printing and food--an estimated $60 per person) by making a tax-deductible donation here. We greatly appreciate your interest in advancing the mission that no one has to grieve alone.
