Family Camp
The Mourning Hope Grief Center offers a free, overnight Family Camp to support families who have experienced the death of someone significant in their lives. Led by bereavement professionals and caring volunteers, Family Camp combines grief education, emotional support and fun, traditional camp activities. At Mourning Hope Family Camp, families can:
- Explore their grief in a supportive environment
- Learn healthy coping skills
- Make connections with other families experiencing grief
Priority will be given to families who have not previously participated in Mourning Hope programs and those who reside outside Lincoln or Lancaster County.

Family Camp 2025 Highlights
Fourteen couragous families came together at our 2025 Family Camp to connect, reflect, and support one another through grief. The weekend was filled with courage, laughter, tears, and moments of joy. Thanks to our amazing volunteers and staff, families found community and hope in Mourning Hope's safe, healing space.

Family Camp FAQ
Q: How much does Family Camp cost?
A: There is no cost to attend Family Camp. All activity supplies, dinner on Saturday, breakfast on Sunday, snacks and overnight accommodations at the Lied Lodge are provided free of charge.
Q: Who can attend Family Camp?
A: Children and teens age 5 and older and their adult caregiver(s) who have experienced the death of someone significant in their lives. Priority will be given to families who have not previously participated in Mourning Hope programs.
Q: Who is the Camp Erin Family Camp contact?
