Give Hope. Spark Healing. Be a Bright Spot.

Why November 14?

November is recognized as National Children’s Grief Awareness Month, bringing our attention to kids who need support after the death of a significant person in their life. On a local scale, 1 in 14 Nebraska children will experience the death of a parent or sibling before they turn 18.

Honoring November 14 as Mourning Hope’s annual giving day reminds us why our programs and services matter–because no kid, teen, adult, or family should have to face grief alone.

What can $14 do?

A little light can make a big difference. With monthly donations beginning at only $14, supporting Mourning Hope's free programs is more accessible than ever. But what can $14 really do?

  • It can provide a grief journal for a teen with countless thoughts racing around their head.
  • It can provide a comfort pillow for a child who needs something to hold.
  • It can help create a space where someone feels understood when everything seems foreign.
  •  It can help make sure grief support stays free for your neighbors who need it.

Small gifts can create meaningful moments of comfort and connection.

Donate Today

On or before November 14, you can be a bright spot for someone who is grieving. Give a gift of $14 -- once or monthly -- to keep Mourning Hope programs free and accessible to all. Greater generosity is always welcome.

Special thanks to the New York Life Foundation for its recent philanthropic support toward Mourning Hope's mission.
