2020 Grief Support Groups

In response to COVID-19, in-person programs at the Mourning Hope Grief Center have been paused. See our complete response plan here.

All of Mourning Hope's grief support groups continue to be available at absolutely no cost to participants thanks to the support of our community. We'll get through this...together.

Family Grief Support Group (Online)

Online via Zoom | Tuesdays | January 19 - March 2

5:15 p.m. to 6 p.m.: ages 6 to 9
6:15 p.m. to 7 p.m.: ages 10 to 12
7:15 p.m. to 8 p.m.: adult caregivers

The Family Grief Support Group is geared toward supporting any youth, age post-kindergarten through high school senior, who has experienced a significant death in their lives. Caregivers attend a separate group where adults receive education on how to support a grieving child, as well as grief support themselves.

The group curriculum and timing has been adjusted due to COVID-19. Please contact Alyssa Christensen, Grief Support Director, at achristensen@mourninghope.org with questions.

Adult Grief Support Group (Online)

Online via Zoom | Mondays | October 26 - December 14 | 12 noon - 1 p.m.

Each person grieves in their own way, and at their own pace. By joining with others who have also experienced the death of someone significant, we can offer support and learn from one another as we move toward healing.

This group provides an opportunity for adults (ages 30+) to understand your grief, and find hope and healing. You will learn healthy ways to cope, and feel support from others who are having similar experiences on their grief journey.

The group curriculum has been adjusted due to COVID-19. Please contact Pam Dinneen, Clinical Operations Director, at pdinneen@mourninghope.org with questions.
