2020 Grief Support Groups

All of Mourning Hope's grief support groups continue to be available at absolutely no cost to participants thanks to the support of our community. We'll get through this...together.

Young Adult Grief Support Group (Online)

Online via Zoom | Sundays | 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The Young Adult Grief Support Group is geared toward supporting young adults ages 18 to 30ish. Group participants discuss the wide range of emotions and various life events experienced following the death of someone significant. Individuals will be invited to share their personal experiences with loss and grief, ask questions of the group as desired, and provide support for one another.

This is an open, ongoing group hosted via Zoom, an online video conferencing platform. New members are welcome to join at any time, and new dates will continue to be added. Adult Grief Support Group (Online)

Online via Zoom | Mondays | 12 noon to 1 p.m.

When grieving the death of someone significant, we typically have the support of our community to surround us. At this time of physical distancing, we may be left grieving alone - which can deepen our pain. Join this group and find a new kind of support with those who also need it.

Parenting Grieving Kids Support Group (Online)

Online via Zoom | Mondays | 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

The role of parenting is difficult, and the role of parenting grieving kids is even more difficult. Join this group to connect with other caregivers who are parenting children and teens who have also experienced the death of someone significant. Discuss how kids grieve and what we can do to support them during this challenging time.

This is an open, ongoing group hosted weekly via Zoom, an online video conferencing platform. New members who consider themselves to be a primary caregiver to a child or children are welcome to join at any time, and new dates will continue to be added. Survivors of Suicide Loss Support Group (Online)

Online via Zoom | Wednesdays | 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

The Survivors of Suicide Loss Grief Support Group is a bi-weekly group for adults who have experienced the suicide death of someone significant in their lives. You are not alone. Connect with others who understand.

This is an open, ongoing group hosted via Zoom, an online video conferencing platform. New members (ages 18+) are welcome to join at any time, and new dates will continue to be added. Family Grief Support Group (Online)

Online via Zoom | Tuesdays | June 16 - August 4

5 p.m. to 5:45 p.m.: ages 10 to 12
6 p.m. to 6:45 p.m.: ages 13 to 18
7 p.m. to 7:45 p.m.: adult caregivers
Weekly activities will be sent via email for elementary-aged participants to complete at home.

The Family Grief Support Group is geared toward supporting any youth, ages kindergarten through high school senior that has experienced a significant death in their lives. Caregivers attend a separate group where adults receive education on how to support a grieving child, as well as grief support themselves.
